Over the years, we have spent a lot of time outdoors. Camping, hiking, trail running, skiing, snowshoeing, you name it. When we have a moment, we're in the mountains. 

In our experience, we've noticed how easily people can be turned off by a simple trip to the outdoors. Buying the gear, packing it, cleaning it, storing it - the process can all be a bit much. Of course, you could go all Frontiersman and just huck a canvas sack with a tin pot and a buck knife over your shoulder and walk off into the woods, but we've tried that too. And it sucks.

We started Packlist to make the outdoors more accessible, easier, comfortable, affordable, and sustainable. If you are not a die-hard camper or an avid backcountry enthusiast, it makes more sense to rent. And we designed Packlist to make that process as easy as possible.
